To B(elieve).... Or Not To B(elieve)

One of the biggest dilemma for people like me is to believe or not, in THE ALMIGHTY.
This is a question widely faced by todays generation.

Every coin has two sides.Either you do or you Dont, but this one here has three sides.
the third one is barely a side.It is the border that many of us stand on.
It is the thin line between being Atheist and a Believer.
It all starts when you come out of school. Up till then everything goes smooth, people who want to believe, believe and those who dont want to, dont.
In college when you  get exposed to different kind of people and ideas, questions arise about our faiths and beliefs. The following meetings include all kinds of debate and  arguments. This goes to a point where we start questioning our own faiths and beliefs.
Suddenly there is a  big question mark in our minds and the religious rituals that we follow feels more like a mime show. It is like."We have given a recommendation, now will have to see whether the request is accepted or not".

Most of the rituals performed are to "please" GOD, so that he can shower his blessings upon us. Its more like bribery.
It depends a lot on our upbringing as to how we conceive the idea of GOD.
In my opinion we all are taught to fear GOD than believing. As children we were told, "how we could get punished" or some other stories. So may be it was this fear which was behind the daily prayers and marking our attendance at temples or wherever it may be.
We are in such a position that there are hardly any one to solve our doubts. If we ever ask for an explanation from our elders as in why a particular thing was practised?? The next minute is gone in silence and a stare, which means "we have never questioned it, How dare you do!!" so that leaves us in a deeper confusion.
Why to do something which you dont believe.

So to conclude, I think there is a something that is beyond our control and that something is controlled by Someone, call it luck/fate or may be even GOD.

But whatever our outlook may be.
Its important that we respect each others view and let everyone believe their faith(unless they are harmful to us).
